Mariner Optimax EngineOptimax: Mariner Optimax V6 have changed all the rules. A new technology direct injection fuel system has provided a way to burn the petrol more completely than ever before, resulting in outstanding economies with the massive savings in fuel, an average of 45% and emission reductions.

An electronic brain constantly adjusts the engine to meet changing conditions and maintain peak performance at all times. Super corrosion protection is provided by XK-360 low-copper aluminium alloy and the unit comes with three-year corrosion protection warranty.

Two-strokes: Electronic fuel injection and carbureted Mariner two-strokes have built-in reliability and outstanding performance all the way from 2.5HP to 250HP. Excellent power-to-weight rations throughout the range give added benefits and being lighter allows for easier portability.

The EFIs are almost maintenance free and the carburetor models are the most sophisticated in their class. They start first time, every time in all weathers with precisely metered fuel for maximum efficiency. Or why not go for the naturally aspirated V6 model with carburation that has been devised for the smoothest possible idle and off idle running.

The Mariner 75HP through 125HP have largest displacement in their two-stroke horsepower classifications. That means more power, more flexibility.

The 40HP, 50HP and 60HP are three-cylinder and provide acceleration and
top speed to take you wherever you need to go. Mariner's two-cylinder
workhorses at 20HP through 40HP are built for durability and reliability
and then there is the 30HP with a 429cc powerhead, ideal for lightweight
boats with the engine weighing in at a mere 51kg.

The lightweight Mariners, 2.5HP up to 15HP are by no means lightweight
in terms of performance. Latest innovations include one-handed tiller operation, exclusive fingertip control co-pilot for adjusting steering resistance as you go, plus shallow water drive to let you run trimmed-out low in the water.
